Remaking Baul by faking Baul, acting out all of our, one and only Baul lineage, remaking our lived lives.

KD Babu Kishan is an expert in Baul songs, music, philosophy, tantra and he knows the difference between Baul music and Folk Music as he has recorded and preserved all of Baul over more than 60 years as an indigenous ancestral Baul whose Guru and ancestors are Nabani Das Khyapa Baul and Padma Shree Baul Samrat Purna Chandra Das Baul who all fake pretendian self-titled Baul Artists and Baul Masters copy and ride on the coattails of while deleting their names and making up fake Baul Gurus and absolutely fake Baul lineages.

Nabani Das Khyapa Baul, Purna Das Baul, Manju Dasi and KD Babu Kishan are the only authentic and first Bauls to pioneer Baul throughout India. Then KD Babu Kishan created the template for the modern indigenous Bauls to survive this new world, they died young in the villages anyhow, because they were not able to compete with all the fake pretendian Bauls. It is a very sad story and destructive to the indigenous Baul who are the ones who preserved Baul through hundreds of years documented and thousands of year in the oral stories. This is why the reclamation of this singular one and only lineage parampara of Baul must be guarded carefully, guarded from the watering down, reductionism and destruction of Baul. They pretend they are preserving Baul, they are not they are using Baul as a way to travel the world, to gain awards, collect people, while stealing and riding on the coattails of this one and only parampara, no one would know anything about Baul without this lineage.

Lies being told today by non-indigenous fake pretendian Bauls, passing off songs that are not Baul, as Baul songs, Baul poetry is closed, there are no Bauls so there is no knew Baul poetry, it is just insidious we have over 5000 songs that need interpretation and Baul is extinct as they new self-title Baul Masters with fake lineages still in 2025 are appropriating the intellectual indigenous drops of wisdom that come from this one and lineage as bi-lines in youtube promotional videos with barely half truths. What he has told, written, recored or said has been copied and presented as their own as if they actual knew, this is an injustice against this one and only indigenous parampara of over 13 generation there is no generational Baul or Bauls of 2 or 3,4,5 as is being presented, this is intellectual property theft has gone on for decades. Some others were invited to travel with them or followed them, trying to do what they have already done, then Riding on the Coat Tails of this lineage saying they are they are first, they are not, the first Women Baul to travel around the world starting in 1969 was Manju Das before internet.

Copying what Babu Kishan and his family have already done is miseducating the public because many are making astronomical claims that are not true. This is important because 'Newcomers to BAUL', are watering down, reducing and dumbing down Baul. The speculation on who the Bauls are is mind boggling. Scholars have never got it right, they only speculate or talk to the wrong people. These statements will be qualified one by one.

Babu Kishan has preserved his one and only'Lineage Baul' because he could fore tell the change Baul was even going through back in the 1970's.

No one in this world would know who the Bauls of Bengal are without all the work of this family, this lineage and Babu Kishan. All Bauls follow this lineage, this lineage is ancient and they do not follow anybody.
