Thanks to Babu Kishan and all the people who helped and assisted Krishnendu Das Baul including many great such as Lila Roy, George Harrison, Ravi Shankar and many more.

We will need help with translations of this lineages songs and manuscripts, we are at a time in our life when we can he can dedicate more time to the already over 60 years of research and preservation of this 'one and only' Baul guru shishya Parmapara sampradaya or indigenous ancestral lineage from Ekachakra Birbhum. They are ancestors of Nitai or Nityananda the Baul Avadhuta and elder best friend of Sri Chaitanya. It was Nityananda who taught Sri Chaitanya the Baul way of chanting the Maha Hare Krishna mantra and of Vaishnava Baul Kirtan. Sri Chaitanya was a great scholar but harding anyone would come and listen to lengthy dialogues, Nityananda as a Baul Avadhuta knew the way of the villagers of Birbhum, they were more open and used to Baul kirtan, song and dance, this was a technique the Bauls used to wake up all the villagers in the early morning as a wake up call.

Today, the nuances are gone, fake Bauls are teaching that Bauls knocked on peoples doors all hours of the day, this is completely wrong, they are spreading so many false narratives. It is these fake Bauls who are destroying Baul by watering down and reducing Baul.

Babu Kishan aka Krishnendu Das was raised on the soil and soul of Birbhum. He promised his grandparents and Guru Nabani Das Khyapa Baul and Brajabala Dasi over 60 years he would complete this task.

It was over 60 years ago that he made the correct preservation and history and her-story would be preserved. This has been his main mission to preserve his lineage and his families legacy. To reclaim the Gosia Chand Vaishnava Sahajiya (Sahaja) Bauls of Birbhum, W Bengal India.

There is absolutely no one on this planet that has done this accurately but Babu Kishan aka Krishnendu Das Baul as he was born to do this job of preserving Baul. Baul does not collect people.

Baul today is not Baul, the fake famed social media Bauls are spreading lied and false narratives, actually destroying Baul quicker than one had ever though. Baul is under threat from outside forces who are watering down and reducing Baul for social media fake Baul fame. These are called NAKAL Shilpi Bauls and they dare to call Baul Samrat Pandit (Padma Shree) Purna Das Baul now aged into the 90's a shilpi Baul. A Baul that has introduced Baul to all of India and world wide, a highly celebrated, awarded Baul a derogatory name????

He also, has made it a life long project to preserve the Folk music of India and especially Bengal, he has already categorized all the folk music of India for all the big music companies of India. Since he was a kid he has recorded, produced many famed Folk Musicians of Bengal and India.

Masters Degree in Indian Folk Music and Indian Music from Calcutta University and was the leading expert as a consultant in Bombay for all the top Record labels in categorizing the Folk Music of all of India.

He is the only expert in Baul songs and kirtans, he has recorded, composed music for and produced over 80% of his father Purna Das Bauls most famous Baul music, the Baul songs that have been appropriated and re-recorded by the fake nakal Bauls.
