Journalism and cultural interview platforms carry a basic responsibility: to perform due diligence before broadcasting claims that distort endangered indigenous heritages. Your recent interview featuring Parvathy 'not' Baul fails this fundamental test. By providing an unchallenged platform for commercial cosplay, fabricated terminology, and a sanitized, New-Age rewrite of a 600-year-old tradition, you have become complicit in the systematic erasure of the world’s only ancestral Baul lineage or Guru shishya parampara sampradya -there is only one, it is Gosia Chandra Das Baul and Dasi.
A million views on YouTube do not constitute historical truth. Popularity on an algorithm cannot manufacture Adhikāra (lineage-granted qualification), nor can it override centuries of documented history (Siddhānta).

Nabani Das Khyapa Baul is the only Baul who introduced and initiated Rabindranath Tagore, he the first Baul in the history of Baul to sing for Nehru duing the freedom movement and at the inauguration of the New India in 1947. The other picture and Gurus you guest talk about were not even around then because there were no Bauls in Calcutta at that time, there were no Bauls in Bangladesh if not for Nabani Das Khyapa Baul who knew Swami Vivekananda or for KD Babu Kishan who is the first and only Baul to spend 12 years in the Ramakrishna Mission as a monk. Do you understand what Shadow foot-printing the lives of these famous Bauls and the only reason anybody actually knows about Baul is.
There are articles on this blog explaining what Shadow foot-printing the lived lives of this one and only Parampara. Can you image the damage that your guest has done, creating a parellel illigitamate Sampradaya using all the terms from this blog? Well now let me tell you, most certainly this is now a legal reclamation of this lineage, it has gone too far and you did not do any research, rather you were influenced by emotional cosplay into spreading false narratives. The Fact: Authentic Baul is preserved strictly within ancestral family bloodlines (Kulā), oral manuscript transmission, and internal somatic discipline (Vāyu Tulā). There are zero Baul Ashrams and zero Baul Masters. Modern retreat centers and commercial workshops are capitalist constructs, not lineage institutions.
The "Siddhacharya" Distortion: Applying labels like "Siddhacharya" to historical Bauls completely misrepresents the only Baul lineage, there are not any others and this guest of yours is not from a Baul lineage.
