But after watching the recent YouTube interview conducted by Bhavesh featuring Parvathy Baul, the silence ends today. A million people could watch that interview, with is missing key nuances of who the Bauls are. The younger generation will never learn Baul from her because she is not a Baul but a shadow footprinter of this one and only parampara of Baul there is not another. She has poached words from this blog, the style of dance and instruments from this lineage, she has ever tried to hard to play pretend and that is just what she is a cosplayer and actor.
What is being presented to the public is not Baul. It is a manufactured fantasy, a collection of plagiarized terms scraped directly from this archive, and an act of indigenous intellectual fraud designed to monetize a sacred, extinct tradition.

Parvathy Baul Has No Baul Lineage: Putting on a robe, growing dreadlocks, and claiming a "Guru" who was not a Baul does not make someone a Baul. You cannot self-title yourself into an indigenous lineage. She is an actor performing a script copied from the lived lives of our family in a wishy washy unclear way like some sort of sales pitch. Nobody ever thought that Baul was Folk Music, you stole and steal songs of this lineage. Thinking nobody will know, don't worry we have the reciepts and you sing songs that are not Baul songs, you have called yourself a Folk Singer? I have it on record.

The Tagore Connection: No other Bauls had a direct relationship with Rabindranath Tagore except Nabani Das Khyapa Baul, who was Tagore's primary Baul Guru. Pretenders constantly attempt to wrap themselves in Tagore’s legacy using stories stolen from our family's oral records.
The University Pioneer: Babu Kishan was the first and only indigenous Baul to earn a BA and MA from Calcutta University and formally teach at universities globally. Claiming to be the "New Purna Das Baul" or the "New Baul Ambassador" is an insult to the people who sacrificed their lives to bring Baul out of the villages.
The Theft of "Rasa Lila Mystics": The very term "Rasa Lila Mystics"—which Parvathy and others now use—was coined and published first by KD Babu Kishan in his writings and on his original website (BabuKishan.com, active since the 1990s).

Parvathy Baul’s teachings lack the core Rasa, the deep somatic mechanics (Vāyu Tulā, Deha-tattva), and the foundational scholastic depth of oral Sanskrit and manuscript traditions (Tantra Mantra Gopi Yantra, Itihāsa, Vedas, and Upanishads). I am astounded the amount of looting she has gathered from this blog, never said before, now words, terms, the ony problem is the nuances are missing, I chuckle because Babu Kishan made me hold back just to see what would happen, and it happened, the looting, poaching is real.
She has historically claimed that "Baul comes from Turkey," confused Baul with Aul-Sai-Dervish-Fakir categories, and listed the chapters of Purna Das Baul's 2004 book Baul Philosophy as her own curriculum—unaware that those chapters were originally categorized, written, and preserved by Babu Kishan in their family home in Kolkata. There are 108 Baul tattvas most not released exactly because of the poaching. In Purna Das Baul's book only a few are released.
Enough is enough.
The younger generation is being gaslit with sanitized, fake narratives that are destroying what little remains of genuine Baul heritage.
