The only Baul poetry by Allen Ginsberg, who was many decades dear friend of Babu Kishan's aka Krishnendu Das
The only Baul poetry ever written
by Allen Ginsberg.
Babu Kishan is the only Baul that had a many decade friendship with Allen Ginsberg.
Babu Kishan aka Krishnendu the eldest Grandson of Nabani, first met Ginsberg when he was a baby in the lap of Nabani Das Khyapa Baul in Birbhum 1962.
Ginsberg travelled to Suri Birbhum, to specifically meet 'Nabani Das Khyapa Baul' Baul Avadhut and Baul Poet the only Baul who initiated Rabindranath Tagore into Baul. Ginsberg always told Babu who on his yearly visits to New York from early 1980's to 1997 Babu would go to Ginsberg's home in Greenwich Village Lower Manhattan that Babooo was a little Nabani.
Many stories to tell, Babu Kishan's stories and associations, not yours, do not name drop!
“Baul of Bengal, I sing for all, Blue Danube is my Jamuna, Hudson my Vrindavan, see me in Calcutta, Toronto and London, Hear my call Baul of Bengal, Same man many names, same player, many games, Love is magic to win at life, Hear my call O Baul of Bengal.”
