Very rare recording of the legendary Manju Dasi Baul, she was Babukishan's mother and the very first Baul women to travel outside of India.

Manju Dasi preformed at all the (prestigious) concerts halls around the world including The Royal Albert Hall and Carnagie Hall, in front of thousands of people.

She is legendary, her story is legendary, she is the first and only authentic Women Baul to travel worldwide for more than 50 years she was side by side with her husband the Legendary Purna Das Baul.

Baul History was complete decades ago, now all are making up stories, saying they are Legendary, The legendary Baul is gone. Baul is extinct thanks to all the fakes who have watered down and reduced Baul to a circus show. Nabani Das Baul was a friend of Indira Gandhi's father Jawaharlal Nehru.

On Nehru's invitation Nabani Das Baul sang all over India in front of millions of people when India became a republic.

Nabani Das Baul was considered the top state artist (singer) for Bengal and after him his son Purna Das Baul was the state artist of Bengal and Babu Kishan traveling all over India on all stages before Indira Gandhi would speak, then for Rajiv Gandhi.

They are what you would call Pied Pipers of attracting people to the political speeches.

Baul should be GENIUS Vaishnava Tantric Yogi's produced a large body of creative work including poetry that was set to a tune and sang in vernacular Birbhum Bengali. Baul Guru's always knew who the poets were, they are non stealing and always gave credit where credit was due.

Bauls were intellectual from a the oral Sanskrit tradition of hearing and remembering.

Baul knew their songs and the discourses that went with the songs they were Guru's and Sanskrit speaking. Not illiterate!

Some others were invited to travel with them or followed them, trying to do what they have already done, then Riding on the Coat Tails of this lineage saying they are they are first, they are not, the first Women Baul to travel around the world starting in 1969 was Manju Das before internet.

Copying what Babu Kishan and his family have already done is miseducating the public because many are making astronomical claims that are not true. Yet they are singing the songs of this lineage but adding other peoples names, this is a cultural appropriation. There is a Baul History and Her-story and this story was complete decades ago.

The real Baul is extinct! Babu Kishan has ARCHIVED BAUL decades ago, it has been done, it is complete. This will be presented one by one. This is important because 'Newcomers to BAUL', are watering down, reducing and dumbing down Baul. The speculation on who the Bauls are is mind boggling. Scholars have never got it right, they only speculate or talk to the wrong people. These statements will be qualified one by one.

Babu Kishan has preserved his one and only'Lineage Baul' because he could fore tell the change Baul was even going through back in the 1970's.

No one in this world would know who the Bauls of Bengal are without all the work of this family, this lineage and Babu Kishan. All Bauls follow this lineage, this lineage is ancient and they do not follow anybody.
