Early Global Footprint: Babu Kishan was representing Indian culture across the US and Europe as far back as 1971, long before the modern diaspora arrived abroad.
Pioneering Fusion: He created the first authentic Indian Fusion and Baul Fusion music. He toured the US playing 40 concerts with Bob Dylan & the Band, jamming with The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, George Harrison, Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, and Miles Davis and many others.
Bollywood Legend: He served as an assistant to his Bollywood Music Guru, R.D. Burman, for 13 years. He helped establish major record labels in Mumbai, categorized India's vast folk music catalog for industry producers, and was among the original architects who helped coin and shape "Bollywood."

Baul and Ramakrishna is only associated with KD Babu Kishan as he is the only Baul to be a monk in the Ramakrishna Mission for 12 years, this is a first and last in Baul.
